Salem Al Qasimi honours participants in UAE

July 2017, 10 Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler's Office, attended a ceremony to honour participants in the second edition of UAE Innovation Week 2016 in Sharjah.Held at Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) headquarters Monday, the ceremony also saw the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development (DSCD); Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI; Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah; Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA); Dr. Saeed Musabih Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council; Sultan bin Butti Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Sharjah and Chairman of UAE Innovation Week Committee in Sharjah; and several heads of government bodies in Sharjah. The ceremony is the culmination of efforts to make the Innovation Week in Sharjah a success as part of UAE Innovation Week held under the kind patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Which reflects the UAE's endeavour to be a stimulating and attractive environment for innovators in all fields, and to involve members of society in designing innovations that serve the country and its residents. A presentation on the achievements of the Emirates Innovation Week in Sharjah was screened during the ceremony. The presentation also highlighted the most prominent participations from the various bodies as well as the accompanying activities and events  held at the Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. During the ceremony, Sheikh Salem honoured the participating government bodies, organising committees and volunteers. He praised their efforts in making the event a success.
